Opening of the Fairness League
January 2025
Helsinki Musiikkitalo
Fairness League opening in January 2025 at Helsinki Musiikkitalo
Finland is not growing, except in terms of labour problems. We believe that instead of waiting for the macro-economy, it is time for work communities to start moving upstream towards a better working life that is growth-oriented.
We invited 200 working life experts, leaders and decision-makers, as well as a diverse group of the best in Finnish working life development, to Helsinki’s Musiikkitalo to look beyond company and industry boundaries to find practical ways to promote a better working life and fairer growth to boost growth in Finland as a whole.
Hosted by Peter Nyman, the event aimed to condense into just over an hour practical tips on the course change needed at company and workplace level.
What did we get in response? Practical perspectives on the topic were served up by,
- Frank Martela, Associate Professor at Aalto University
- Jari Hakanen, Research Professor at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health
- Noora Hautakangas, Relove, Entrepreneur, founder
- Fadumo Ali, Hoiwa Oy, Entrepreneur, founder
- Karoliina Salminen, VTT, Researcher, Development Director
- Tuomas Nousiainen, Luoto Company, Founder, CEO
The atmosphere was enhanced by an art exhibition on the theme, created for the initiative by the amazing street artist Rasmus Tikkanen.
The initiative will continue with a research challenge for a better working life for growth, the results of which will be made available free of charge to all in early 2026.
